Retail Store Manager

It is supplied by its own production lines, from the classical rug weaving centers of the world. The company is headquartered in Port Washington, New York. Permanent showrooms are open year-round in Atlanta, Las Vegas, and High Point, NC. Safavieh is looking for a proactive, personable, highly motivated, and organized Store Manager. We are interested in a retail manager who has a passion for driving sales to join our team of hardworking sales and interior designers. Safavieh managers are business-minded people responsible for managing the daily operations of the store and achieving monthly sales goals.  Our current opening is in our Norwalk location.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the store meets and exceeds sales goals.
  • Prioritize & plan daily agendas to meet business goals and hold the team accountable to achieve those goals.
  • Drive brand loyalty by leading outstanding internal and external customer experience.
  • In partnership with the District Manager, recruit, interview, and select qualified candidates to build a balanced staff.
  • Leads and inspires customer-centered culture by recognizing and rewarding team.
  • Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings with staff on strengths and areas of opportunity.
  • Communicate merchandising concepts and trends to the staff.
  • Ensure store standards are met and maintain cleanliness, safety, etc.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of retail experience in home furnishings.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including all weekends and holidays.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and sales skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team.
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • (Optional) Proficient in STORIS systems.

Compensation:
  • $60,000.00 plus commission and a bonus based on business growth
  • Full-time position
