Upscale home furnishings company is looking to hire a visual merchandiser with a strong passion, curiosity, and understanding of home furnishings and our customer’s everyday life at home. This is a full time position that will consists of working in our New York and Connecticut locations (Stamford, Norwalk, and Hartsdale).

DUTIES:

• Research trends, lifestyle, demographics, and design ideas that attracts the customers
• Create and implement a visual merchandising strategy
• Creativity when designing in-store displays, stands, and panel exhibitions
• Install and dismantle displays to showcase new products and/or to reflect seasonal themes
• Projects will be in alignment with the company culture, products, image, and target market
• Liaising with upper management to ensure that the requirements are being met
• Sourcing the necessary props, materials, and accessories required
• Maintain a professional appearance consistent with established dress code and image guidelines
• Reaching goals and generating growth and long-term profitability.
• Continually seeking opportunities to make improvements

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 years of high-end furniture experience (preferred)
• Must have own transportation and be willing to travel
• Work experience as a visual merchandiser or visual manager
• Degree in Visual Merchandising or related field
• Background in retail, home furnishing, and/or furniture
• Work flexible hours; must be available to work weekends and holidays

COMPENSATON:

• $20-$24/hr depending on experience
• Full time position
